Aging in Place

Hybrid Service (In person and on Zoom)

Speaker: Dawn Zuber

Thanks to advances in technology and the availability of in-home care providers, many homeowners can stay in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes rather than face a difficult transition to assisted living. Dawn will discuss some simple ways (and some more significant interventions) to adapt your existing home to meet new needs. As a result, your home can remain a beloved gathering place and setting for many more memories!

Since founding Studio Z Architecture in 1997, Dawn Zuber, FAIA, has worked with more than 100 clients to design and deliver their dream homes. Many clients love her so much that they return years later, wanting her help with new projects.

In 2015, Dawn was hired by Scripps Networks to reimagine a home in Ann Arbor’s historic Water Hill neighborhood. Dawn’s vision resulted in an extensive remodel, and the house became the grand prize for HGTV’s Urban Oasis® sweepstakes giveaway in October 2016.

In 2018, Dawn was recognized by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) for her work and contributions to architecture and society by being named a Fellow of the AIA (FAIA).

Dawn is the daughter of Groveland’s President, Ceile Hartleib.
